I think you jumped a generation. The William Corkill (b. ?, d. ?) in question's first wife is Margaret Lewney (m. 28 Oct 1707, b.?, d. 1710), and second wife is Jane Crane (b. ?, d. 1736). Will of Margret Lewney mentions a son William, who is most likely William Corkill (b. 1710, d. 1781). His 1781 Will confirms him to be the husband of Alice Cannon (d 4 sep 1781; douglas; sons thomas,peter;dau isabel; wife alice als cannon exex).
