this may well be unneded now but just reached 1795 in my trawl thro deeds - SSS May 1795 107 - [Douglas]dated 19 May 1792;John Corkill(Braddan) gives to nephew William Corkill a house + my part of backyard situate at sandside in Douglas purchased from Matthias Kelly[SSS Oct 1755 48]; Wm to maintain me; Witt William Kinread x, Tho Curphey

John bought this by SSS Oct 1755 48 - [Douglas - Ballakermeen]dated 4 Jun 1753;Matthew Kelly(labourer, Douglas) + wife Jane als Skillicorn sell for £1 12s 6d(Manks) to friend John Corkill(Lonan) a parcel of Ballkermeen lately purchased from John Finch [SSS Oct 1753 36] situtated at sandside of Douglas adj our own rent on north, Wm Creer on south, sd John Finch on west and the proposed street to be at back part or sandside on east - plot 4.5yds N-S inc street and 15yds deep or westward to Jon Finch's ;Witt Willm Garrad x, John Stole; Setting quest place 0.25d rent

It's near the top (north) end of modern Strand street in Douglas - however the 2 deeds seem to link John then of Lonan with the Wm who got the house in 1792 on condition he maintained John
