William Cowle & Ellen Brew are my 8xgt grandparents. William d1707 was the Santon Clerk. Ellen d 1701.

I have wills for both. William is of Balnahown Santon in the 1703 Composition Book (he is Wm Cowle Snr). This shows the land as being held in 1643 by Christo Brew and Robt Brew so it seems that Ellen may have been the heiress.

Can anyone cast any light on the ancestry of Wm Cowle and Ellen Brew.

Any help much appreciated as we are stuck.
