Hi David, She married Matthew BURTON 31 Jul 1854 Manchester Cathedral as Sophia GILL, 26, spinster, residence Fallowfield, father Robert GILL, butcher. Marriage Cert does not state him as deceased. Witnesses to the marriage were the Lengs. George LENG was a joiner as was Matthew, perhaps they worked together. They married on the same day and witnessed each other's marriage, then in Dec 1854 sailed together on the 'John Davis'. Yes, I have the full passenger list of the voyage.
