Thanks Mary, I remember it well. Freezing cold. I tried to teach myself to swim there, but had more success in the warm shallow water at White Strand in the summer. I think it was the only indoor pool for quite some time after WW2 as well - the pools at the Majestic and Peel were outdoor. I don't know when the one in Ramsey was opened. Of course, Ballakermeen school had an indoor pool, and I have an idea that was built during the war.
