I have another question at the same time that Thomas C Corkhill (my great grandfather) was living in Cary McHenry county Illinois there was another family form the Isle of Man there. I had always thought they were probably related but they spelled there last name without the (h) Corkill The info I have on them is Thomas D Corkill born ca1839 Isle of Man died 1915 In Sedgewick, Kansas he married Marcha Ann Haskins (My great great Aunt) His father was also named Thomas D he was born ca 1812 on the Isle of Man and died Aug 06, 1875 Woodstock, McHenry county Illinois.

I wonder from the info you have already provided if Thomas D (1812-1875) would be the son Thomas Corkill and Margaret FARGHER making him a brother of 1] Mary (1810-1872) wife of William Callow 2] Catherine (1802-1882) wife of James Corkill (1810-1866) ?????

The "censor' wouldn't except my post when I spelled out the Thomas D's full middle name! it was D i c k that's a real strict censor filter!
