I have just found the marriage license of my great grandfather Thomas Cork(h)ill. On it he lists his parents as James Corkill and Margret Callow. On the 3 census records I have for him he first spells his name Corkill but on the last 2 spells it Corkhill. I would like more info on James and Margret but all I can access here in the U.S . is IOM census records. I am guessing my Thomas was the son of the James and Magret Corkill from Jurby. I would give his birth date but I don't have it and on every U.S. census he stated a different age. He says he came here in 1883 my first documentation of him is his marriage license in 1898 issued in Walworth county Wisconsin he states his residence as Lake County Illinois on this document unfortunately it doesn't ask his age. Any info/help would be appreciated!
