Sue, thank you for that. I do not have his actual death certificate as yet. I have a record of William Starkey burial from Christchurch city council cemetaires database, which states his place of birth as Christchurch, which I know is incorrect because he is buried in the same Block as his wife Edith. His years in NZ are also incorrect. On his marriage certificate his father's occupation is not listed. Much of my information has come from cross-referencing the bdm historical records, and also the NZ Electoral Rolls from 1928 forwards.
