Thanks Jean and also say thank you to Eric.

Frustrating, isn't it? I'm not sure if it's possible but I would like to check that whoever has put the Family Group which includes Alice Fargher on FamilySearch is confident that their Alice did die in Lancaster.
I now have a copy of the parish record for the marriage of James Coulthard and Margaret Guy (15 March 1829) in Cockermouth. The marriage was witnessed by Richard Coulthard and Sarah Young. Interestingly, there is also a record of a marriage for John Coulthard and Margaret Young at the same church on 6 June 1829, also witnessed by Richard Coulthard and Sarah Young. Now Alice Fargher also had sons James and John so I am wondering if they could be the same family, born in England and christened in Isle of Man. It's looking very promising except for the date of her death being 1846. Could whoever did this research have confused the two Alices I wonder?
The search goes on I think.
