Re: MARRIAGE OF WILLIAM KELLY AND ELIZABETH QUAYLE

Hi Dennis, I was wondering if you had made any progress on finding out which William and Elizabeth married, as it is possible that my Great Great Great Grandparents were a William Kelly and Elizabeth Quayle as well, and they also had a son called Thomas.

Thomas, who was married in 1887, was the same age as your Great Grand Father. He married Isabella McDonald at the Grand Hotel in Lerwick, Shetland. He occupation at the time of marriage was a Fisherman and his residence, on the Marriage certificate was Kirk Michael, Isle of Man.

William Kelly was Deceased at the time when Thomas was married (1887), his occupation was put down as Seaman, Merchant Service.

Thomas and Isabella had a daughter, Annie, who is my Great Grandmother, was born round about 1912.

I know it might be a bit of a long shot, as my great great grandmother would of been in her 40s, (if I have the right parents that is), when she gave birth, but it is the only marriage I could find with the same names as my Great Grandmother's parents, is the marriage certificate of 1887.

If you or anyone else could give me a bit of help ,it would be greatly appreciated.

Paul
