Hi Len, thanks for checking, but this isn't my Grandma. Marjorie married a Thomas Lewis so became Marjorie Lewis. I've just found the marriage reference and to my surprise she is listed as Marjorie Carrington, not Marjorie Crowe, so looks like she did change her name after all, so strange on the 1911 census she is a Crowe.

I've been thinking a bit more about Marjorie remembering a 'Christ Church' and 'Carnforth' on her adoption papers. Mary pointed out that Christ Church was/is the Parish Church in Carnforth so it does match up. However does anyone know if churches ever got involved in adoptions back in 1905? As I'm wondering what this church would have to do with anything? Especially given that it looks like Marjorie was Christened in Hoylake...
