Very interesting thread. Just had a quick look at the new beta Family Search and there are two entries for Marjery(sic) Crowe. They both relate to her christening on 16th Feb 1905 in Hoose, Cheshire, and both have the mother listed as Eleanor Crowe. The first is from the Bishop's Transcripts, and the second is from the actual christening. The first is Image no 113, Digital GS no 4011814, Film 1647433. The second Image no 1034, Digital GS no 4019125, Film 2191048. Perhaps some kind person with more knowledge than me would be able to tell you whether either of these records would be likely to contain any useful information and whether worth you ordering the films from LDS. If christening took place after adoption, perhaps not.
