Sorry Len I forgot to add that the John Ratcliff birth certificate in 1860 shows father William and mother Ellen so I do not hink is the correct one. Also there is a birth in 1856 to Elizabeth Radcliffe with no father and one in 1857 to Lee Ratcliffe and Ann - these are all the certificates I could find around that era.
