Re Curpheys- The Robert Curphey mentioned is my gt grandfather. He was married to Mary Spencer and did have a brother William b c1842. Robert was a Douglas fisherman, owned sailing craft one of which was called called 'Lizzie', raced in the Douglas Regattas and was Coxswain of the Douglas lifeboat 1868-1872. I believe William took over from him as Coxswain in 1872. The family goes back to Lezayre and the name was Curghey at that point in time.
