MI LooK up needed German
In Response To: Re: Corrins in the States ()

Hi,
This is further to the fast developing story about Henry Wiliam Corrin who was christened at St Mary's Castletown 28 April 1833; married Mary Ann Joughin of Peel 16 May 1862 and was a stone mason and later confectioner. In c1888 Mary Ann decided to take the family to the States and settled in Cook County, Chicago, Illinois, where she died 18 Aug 1891 and was buried. Rosehill Cem is a possibility, but I am not sure yet as the contemporary manuscript note I have is not at all legible. Sue points out that a Henry W Corrin was living at 4 Market ST Peel in 1901. I realised that this would be the flat above the drapers shop owned by his son in law Arthur Brown who married their elsest daughter Christiana, so it all makes sense.

I had problems for a long time with one of Brian Lawson's burials pages, and found I had an incorrect link, but sorted it out a few mins ago, and found

Corrin Henry William 68 Buried German 17 Nov 1901. Again, it all fits perfectly.

I have tried to do my own MI look ups, rather than bother the good folks who do such kindnesses for those who are on the far side of the world , but we will not be on the Island until the autumn, as Alexandra Amy is less than a month old, and I think 4-5 months is the minimum for the sea journey.

Can some good soul see if there is an MI for
Corrin Henry W 68, German 17 Nov 1901 ??

As an aside, I think it would be hard to find a nicer or more friendly bunch than the folks who contribute to the Manx Genealogy site.
