Too much work, not enough people...as is always the case. My original posting was to ascertain whether anyone was working on the Civil Registration indexes - it appears the Manx Registry are considering a project to put these on-line, presumably this will require financial support from the Manx Government before it goes ahead.
If this does not materialise, then a project similar to that in Cheshire or Lancashire may be possible - i.e. using volunteers from the local FHS. If it comes to that I am willing to join a team of transcribers for such a project. Is anyone else in the Island able and willing to help?
