In the mid 1600s the Lace families appear to have spread to various IOM parishes [and to the UK]. The documents which follow William Lace of Douglas's 1670 will record some of his relationships: his mortgage to his cousin John Lace of Ballavarran in Andrews [Andreas], and to Thomas Lace of Bryde. John Lace of Ballavarran's wife Margery and their son John Lace . William Lace of Douglas's wife Margaret, and his lands in Ramsey to be given to their son Mungo after his mother's death [Mungo/Mongo "late of Liverpool" by 1700]. William and Margaret's daughters Jean/Jane and [H]ester, and son R?ab who inherited their dwelling house and garden in Douglas after his mother's decease.
