Thanks for the comments re Loughan y Yeigh. Is the article referred to "Antiquarian Proceedings Vol IX No. 1" available on line, and if not, how can I get hold of s copy, as I think it could be of great help.

I had looked in John Mearns Brown's copy of Wood's Atlas at all the properties that I knew to have been farmed by the family, and L y Y did not appear in the Brown name, BUT I did not know the date they were there, and Woods gave ownership rather than tenancies.

It is a shame the old house was demolished, as it was a lovely building. When it was up for sale, my mother actually did look at it to see if it could be restored, but it was so far gone that she felt it was not on.
