Re: GOVERNMENT LETTER BOOK 1835

Sylvia,
My current information may be too vague.
On 30/04/09 I requested Kew, using one of their online request forms, whether they could find 2 letters which may give me the answer and have yet to hear from them.
The N /Archives catalogue gives 3 posible locations for these 2 letters.

# HO 99/18 may contain a letter of 15 November 1833 and also a letter of 21 March 1835 from the IoM to Whitehall; both concern the transportation of Sarah LYNCHEY and the permission for her to take 3 children with her.

Alternatively

# HO 98/77 may contain the 1833 letter

# HO 98/78 may contain the 1835 letter

I fear that you will find this all too difficult just as the Museum did, particularly as you have your own research to do.

If you do find time it will be much appreciated.

Cheers
Peter
