There were a lot of (different) Skillicorn families in Lonan from 1718 onwards, when the parish register started, not just one big tree. There would also have been Skillicorns in other parishes, but Lonan seemed to be their main area. It is very difficult to sort out the different Lonan families for various reasons, including how late the register started, the large gaps in the register following that date - especially with marriages, and then the mother's name was not usually entered at baptisms. Also Lonan was the first parish in the pile of wills, and suffered from damage and damp more than others.

Lois has done a lot of research for Skillicorn families in Lonan, and tried to fill the gaps with deeds and marriage contracts. If you say who you are looking for (names, dates, places if known) I'm sure she will answer you on the board.
