I can tell you that the Skillicorn name is pretty much a Manx name. Most of the Skillicorns seem to be concentrated in Lonan parish and the surrounding parishes -- Onchan, Braddan, Maughold, Lezayre.

I haven't traced any of the families in the U. S., except for the John Skillicorn- Margaret Corrin bunch, but I have quite a bit of information on Lonan Skillicorns back to early 1700s, should your research take you that way.
