I run the risk of being accused of perpetuating unnecessary debate, but I would like just to reinforce the notion that there was already a flourishing forum/bulletin board well established here before IOMFHS decided to duplicate. It works effectively and efficiently as a meeting place of the experienced and enthusiastic whether knowledgeable or novice despite being uncluttered by the latest - obviously unnecessary - features.

I sincerely hope that no-one intends to force the issue of trying to get this board closed in favour of the other one without consultation, either with the users or the moderators. It would be a shame to lose such a popular, tried and tested and easily accessed facility, especially for something still experiencing teething troubles. In the case of this board, however, the saying goes - if it ain't broke don't fix it.

I've probably ranted more than enough already so will try and resist the temptation to do so again!
