Thanks Francis in clearing up the inactivity of the Dukes site.

I hope I haven't irked anyone, as it wasn't my intention. Basically, all I want is to share information and help others (as I've seen many do on here) and make people feel that the Isle of Man is pretty ok (if you know what I mean)

The new site takes a little getting used to and even has a choice if you want it threaded like this one or not.
It might be helpful if there was a help page, (I've tried to include one in one of my previous postings as I felt it needed something like that) but I'd think that it's only a matter of time before it gets done.
I must admit, I quite like this board, as it's quick and easy, but like anything, it's only as good as the people who write in and without regular 'helpers' (is that the word?), it wouldn't be the same.
With regards to computers, Age concern has a drop in centre, but it's only available to those over 50. (maybe 10% can go then - big cheeky smile)
Top and bottom of it all is, that I'm enthusiastic and very passionate about helping others in the Society and I've found loads of information all over the Internet, some good, some not so good, but computers are a way of life and not too far away, we'll all be doing this on a mobile phone, or at least our kids will.
So I'll pop off for now and hope that my intentions are seen as being positive and of good standing and if I can help (confess, not nearly as knowledgeable as many others), I'll do what I can.
