The MI at Lezayre - #306 - reads
'Erected by John Crow in memory of his brother Frederick who died February 27th 1799 aged 2 years
Also of his brother Robert Crow who was unfortunately drowned Feby 19th 1817 aged 22 years"
The stones either side are Corlett the Claddaugh and Corlett/Quayle, but there is a stone some yards away #277 which is as follows:-
This stone is erected by Margaret Crow in memory of John Crow her husband who departed this life on the 29th January 1833 aged 43 years.
The next stone but one to Fred & Robt is Charles Crow # 304
Here repose the remains of Charles Crow who departed this life Feb 9th 1805 aged 56 years
The names Robert, William, Charles all occur in the Glenduff family.
Elizabeth Crowe alias Christian bur Lezayre 19 Jun 1833
Too many Johns to establish the correct one at present.
I guess the next step will be to search the property records for Maria's piece of land, and see if it was a family holding.
Many families lost their ancestral lands in the early 1800's through forclosure of mortgages.
