Re: John Crow/Eliz. Christian m. 1787

Nigel,
John Jr. married an Ann Goldsmith in Ramsey I believe and died October, 1851.
The family tree did not indicate when John Sr. or Elizabeth (Christian) Crow died. I haven't been able to figure out who John Crow's parents are or Elizabeth Christian's. I have a couple of possibilities though. On the family tree there is a date of January 18, 1808 and beside that date is the word "vashti" I have no idea what that word means. I thought it meant separation (maybe death) but no one seems to know what it means and why that date?? Big puzzle to me.

I am most confused now about Rebecca and Jane Crow. Maybe you are right and she is buried elsewhere than Ramsey/Lezayre. Do you show your William Corkill dying before 1833 because I show Rebecca Crow Corkill marrying again in 1833 to a William Christian and having more children with him. He was 20 years older than her. I know I will have to order parish records in order to unravel this mystery.

I have had difficulty finding anything at all on Edward Crow. 3 brothers died Charles, Frederic and Robert. The family tree says that Charles Crow entered her Majestys Service in 1812. Also on the family tree it says that Maria Crow married Peter White but it was all scratched out by someone and I took a magnifying glass in order to read it and find out what it said.

I have learned alot in these past couple of days from people, something I am grateful for so thanks again.

Look forward to hearing from you.
