Re: John Crow/Eliz. Christian m. 1787

Nigel,
This family tree was passed down to my father from his father and so on. My father owns a coin case which contained all of the information with the tree. There was only one page of the bible, that had obviously been ripped out and saved. There was also in that case a land survey which belonged to Maria White. It was in her name not her husband Peter's name. Thats something else I don't understand. The land deed is dated February, 1836 and says "Survey of Property of in the parish of Lezayre, the property of Mrs. Maria White of Ramsey.

Some of the family tree is faded but readable and then other areas are darker which appear to have been written in later. There is also a notation of Psalm 85 under Robert's death. Also in that case there is a coin from the IOM with 3 legs on it dated 1798. This is how I started on the research of this family by the discovery of the family tree that belongs to my father. All of the writing on the tree seems to be written by the same person.

As for John Crow Jr. I may be wrong about his marriage. I do seem to be getting alot of information these past few days more than I have ever received before. But I believe when my sister visited the gravesite the tombstones were together. I will have to ask her about that.

Regarding William Corkill, I noticed that Rebecca's child was baptized in 1829 in Ramsey yet born January 20, 1822. Doesn't give the date in 1829 of the baptism. How strange is that!! Do you really think that both Jane Crow and Rebecca Crow had boys born approximately the same date by the same man and both boys were named Robert.
And thanks for the information on Christian.
