Re: George Day 1841 Census.
In Response To: George Day 1841 Census. ()

all of Ramsey George Day's children were born in Eng thus earliest in Island 1833 - no burial of any on Island + gone by 1851 census - he does not appear in 1837 directory - unfortuneately I only seem to have partial copies of 1843 + 46 directories for Ramsey - the Manx Museum library@mnh.gov.im might be able to help

Your George Day was buried Bra 18480114 - possibly an MI ? but no will/decree
Lucy Day als Kelly was probably the english born dau of Paul Kelly + Margt Downs married Maughold 18140630 but first children on Island in 1820 (as Paul was a Greenwich pensioner then his Naval record might help - from UK National archives)
Lucy landed up as a charwoman in Chester street so no money in that family - she gives birth place as Douglas with son Richard born Liverpool in 61 - Richard elsewhere has born Douglas - possibly she was also born Liverpool

Richard Day's wife was probably d/o Charles Fargher (shoemaker in Fancy st from 61 tho earlier in Sand St)+ Cath Quiggin m Braddan 18440225 (in one census from Malew- possibly d/o John Quaggin + Ann Mills) - Richard a plasterer also lived very closeby also in Fancy st in 81) tho Richard's marr should confirm father of wife.
Charles was s/o Charles Fargher (also a shoemaker) + Esther Quiggin
