Re: Applying for death certificates

Hello Alan,

I agree that all the publications for sale should be on the FHS website, and I asked for this to happen a year or more ago. The FHS section on this website has most of them listed, at www.isleofman.com/heritage/genealogy/fhs/publications.aspx

The burial register transcripts listed there are the ones which are now available for sale on CDs (sometimes two parishes or more to a CD). German costs £12.50 plus postage which David will let you know after posting. (Treasurer: David Christian, 3 Minorca Hill, Laxey, IM4 7DN) If you want to know the costs of the other CDs, and you are a member of the FHS, you could email the Secretary at the address given in the front of the mag.

I don't think you gave the dates of the deaths you wanted to research? Or whether you know that registered deaths from 1878 to 1900 (as opposed to parish register burials) are also available on LDS film, and which is much cheaper to hire than buying certs? I looked up BREW ones in the Ramsey film years ago for Steve Brew's website, to add to an existing index, and this will give you an idea of the information available: brew.clients.ch/DindexIOM.htm#Index
