Hello Alan, I have telephoned the civil Registry regarding page and ref numbers for death certs. They told me the ref numbers etc that you need are only at the registry office in Deemsters Walk Douglas. Ok if you live locally but if abroad you would need someone to go to the registry to look up on your behalf. That is for the certs costing £7 sterling directly from the registry. If you do not have the correct ref numbers (the Manx BMD index is only 80% accurate they tell me) then providing you have correct names and full date you can still get your certs from them at the cost of £9-50pence sterling. Which is still much cheaper than the other sites that you can order from online. I would give them the ref numbers from the Manx BMD index it might be correct. If its only about 80% accurate its still worth quoting.
