I'm also trying to find the entry in the 1643 composition book (I did Michael some time ago) - I photo'd the actual book upto the 1661 entries and now trying to decipher the Patrick entries - several hands inc one that is best described as a drunken scrawl (even worst than my own hand! ) but no Thomas Quine I can see - there is a modern index to parish entries (pages thereon) and I've looked at all these so unless Thomas is in 1661 or later entries I can't find the entry from which the 1691 + 1704 comp book derive from - the 1643 entry should name the 3 lives - suspect more work when back in library next week
