Sue Lez bur reg has William Garret (Frangagh) 11 Aug 1756. His will Lez 1756-EW names his children William, John and Thomas, also his wife Isable Garret als Fargher. William Garret married Isable Fargher 12 Oct 1751 at Lez. Isable was already three months pregnant with her second child by William. He also names his sister Joney wife of Robert Calcot, and his brother Thomas.I am searching for the parents of William Garrett (Frangagh) who died in 1756.This next william Garret Looks promising. I have found a marriage for William Garret to Margaret Goldsmith. 2 Nov 1713 at Lez. Then these births I found interesting. Thomas Garret Bapt 16 Oct 1714, Joney Garret Bapt 9 Mar 1717 Lez, William Garret Bapt 6 Mar 1719, Robert Garret Bapt 19 Jan 1720 Lez, Margaret Garret Bapt 11 Sept 1726 Lez, Parents William Garret and Margaret given for all these Bapt. The childrens Baptisms do not give a mothers maiden name so I cannot tell if it is the same William and Margaret as the parents of all . but with the birth of Thomas one year after William and Margaret Goldsmiths marriage I think this could possibly be the family I am looking for. She died 26 Jan 1756 Lez. See my first line at top of message. William Garret (Frangagh) died 11 Aug 1756. So she had to be the relict of a different William Garret. I looked up the name Conney Frangagh online under manx place names. It is listed under Lezayre. There is also mention of Ballure , but Ballure is in Maughold. Not had a chance to go to the museum yet.
