Thank you Averil, that's very kind. I'm always grateful for any offer of help. I've known since I was a child the bare fact that Eleanor McVey's husband, James McQuiggin, was drowned in the Bay of Biscay. Apart from finding him still alive in the 1901 census I had no idea when, after their marriage in 1895, that happened, until the digitised newspapers became available this year and I discovered at least that it was 1905.
