I was excited to see your posting about deaths at sea on Findmypast as I've been looking for the death of James McQuiggin, drowned in the Bay of Biscay, for a long, long time. I would love to find the death certificate. At the iMuseum in July I discovered a note in one of the local papers for December 1905, saying that news was just in of his drowning. There don't seem to be any further reports so I still don't know the exact date. I've just looked on the Findmypast website as you suggest, but nothing came up. I notice it says "Year must be between 1854 and 1890", but that doesn't tie in with your result for Julius Sayle. Any suggestions?
