Dumbell family

I am looking, without much success, for information about my Dumbell ancestor. I would be most interested in taking up a conversation with any person willing to share knowlege about him. So far I can say that he is my GG Grandfather and as far as I am able to tell he was born on the Isle of Mann. His name is John Dumbell, Born abt.1830 later to become Rev. John Dumbell with the Primitive Methodist Church. So far I have found him in Mann Census 1841 at age 11 yrs. Mann Census 1851 at age 21 yrs and England Census 1861 age 31 yrs. so he lived on Mann untill he was adult, and then left to go to England, I assume to attend Theological college, or whatever it was called in those days. I have found him in the Primitive Ministers list as Jno. Dumbell 1857. He was to return to the Island as a Minister. The 1870 General Missionary Committee in London called on him to go to New Zealand, and he arrived in New Plymouth 1872 with his wife Ellen and two children. My Home town, no wonder why.
My research tells me that this is not a Manx name, therefore his family was imported.( I wonder if from Flint) Please somebody help me to find his birth record that will show me his Mother and maybe his father, as he must have been born on the island ,and manx births were recorded. From the absence of family knowledge on this, I suspect he was illegitimate. I do hope somebody will read my request and repy as this is my first attempt at contacting anybody regarding Genealogy. Greatfull thanks in advance.
