Hi Lesley. I was pleased to see your post as it encouraged me to follow Dollin Garret down for a while, which I hadn't got round to doing before.

Just a couple of queries on your outline, though:

Thomas Corjeage- Charlotte Mylicarane - how do they fit in? Married in May 1813.

Can you tell me where you found the birth/baptism year for Patrick Corjeage, husband of Mabel Shimmin? I hadn't been able to spot it in the Kirk Michael register.

Joney Garrett 1763- Thomas Corkill 1760 - Have you seen this marriage in the register? The IGI (member submission) has 'Jane or Joney' but in her transcription on Manx Notebook Frances just has Jane. Do you happen to have a baptism for a Jane d/o Dollin Garret & Quirk (IGI didn't turn up anything useful in Kirk Michael)

Catherine Corkill 1809-William Cowley1808 - I couldn’t see a baptism for Catherine in 1809. If she was married in 1826 (as per your post, 27 May 2009, at 7:15 p.m.) she would only be 17 so you'd would expect permission to be mentioned for her as it was for William.

Hi Sylvia
Thanks for replying

I got Thomas and Charlotte as Patricks parents from the IGI
Most of my info has been sourced from the IGI
Patricks birth baptism I found from the IGI he was married to Jane Caine 29/10/1687 then to Mabel Dec 1690
There is a will ref for Jane CORREAGE on Lawsons bmd but it hasn't been transcribed
I don't have any other info

Sorry Catherine Corkill dob should have read 1805 please see a previous thread dated 27/05/2009 William Cowley re parental consent I did actually see the the original LDS film
I have tried to look at Frances CD but for some reason it won't load I have had some trouble with my PC just lately so I can't check if I found any info from it
Hope this helps and I hope the info I have is correct
Regards Lesley
