Hi Sue, Nigel, etc
If you are interested in late 19th c. Corjeags, try www.isle-of-man.com/manxnotebook/ methdism/people/c.htm#corj where there is a photograph of John Corjeag, preacher, 1807-1884. There were still Corjeags at Ballalona and Mill Bank on the 1891 census, with sons who later married. Haven't checked the 1901 yet. My mother is a daughter of Thomas Richard Cavendish, the g.son of Richard the brother of 23.5.1813 John (Jurby) who we believed to be the ancestor of the American Cavendishes.

Sue - are you related to the Smiths 'from America' who visited my uncle Sid Turner in the IOM, probably in the 1970s, who were interested in the Cavendish cottage at Croit-ny-Gurran on Ballaterson farm, Ballaugh?
