Re: William Teare, born 1818 Isle of Man

In the last few days I have looked at scores of Isle of Man Census records, some of which I found on Ancestry. Com, and some of which I found at the following site suggested to me by davidr, who answered several of my earlier posts.

I think the main thing that I have found out for certain, so far, is that the Teares liked to use the same names a lot. Even between unconnected families, I run into John, William, Philip, and Thomas over and over. Women's names I contantly come across are Catherine, Elizabeth, Esther and Margaret. It makes it a bit dificult to keep things straight in my mind. Happily, it is time now to get some sleep. Usually by the next day, things look a little clearer. Thanks so much for your help. This message board has been priceless.

Good night for now,
Tracy
