I am a great grandaughter of William Nott - I am also exchanging information with Marna privately - you have all been so excellent in your chase - William lost his wife Elizabeth in 1885. His youngest child George would have been ten when he married Alma and Collingwood was fourteen, my grandmother was eighteen. There were 13 children. He was variously listed as a farmer and a grazier though when he lived in Cobbora he was definitely a farmer - we never ever assumed that he was wealthy - just a farmer from Devon who tried to make his fortune in this vast dry country. I live in Coolah 208km. from Coonamble and 50km from Cobbora. Thank you all for your excellent detective work. We had been wondering for years who Alma was. Dorothy
