Dear Mr. Corlett,

I have been researching on the Electronic Pendium done by Ms. CLOAKLEY, there is go much to glean from it. It is mind boggling to see so much data, so much research, a wonderful tool to use. I for one have found information that has helped me immensely. I stll say through time, INTERMARRIAGE between blood was an ultimate outcome, and much silence was on these matters, sure we can trace names, but we cannot trace secrets; Whereby, many had children of others than their own and as not of today where we can DNA, whereas in the early days on, we accepted the person into the fold and dare not say why is her eyes , green and all of ours brown. It was hush-hush, just as it was many, many years ago, but today, tis not true, you can know, almost within 6 hours who you are or are not! The Isle had no one else to marry but relatives. I say, tis true then and was back in the days of the BIBLE, Adam and Eve's children had to intermarry for there was no one else to marry, sisters and brothers, and this has been going on since the beginning of time and shall not end before the end of time, incest, yes, even Kings married those that were foribidden fruit, I still say on the Isle to be able to trace the blood of one family from the inception of habitation to present is IMPOSSIBLE. The lines all intertwined, they had to for survival. I hope that you doso find your line, but truly we are all MANX descendants and that is what really counts to me. INBREEDING OR NOT, we all are MANX.

Kindly yours,

Mrs. Rosa
