A 9 year old Robert Doherty is shown on the Meridian, on this page, and a 44 year old Thomas Dockerty on the Barque Ocean. The spelling really is of no consequence. There is no mention of who young Robert is with. I don't know where any of these fit in with my Dougherty tree, which I believe goes back to the first Dougherty family around 1600.
