I am trying to track down the origins of my family. I was told by my father that my great-great-grandfather came to the U.S. from the Isle of Man sometime in the late 1820's to early 1830's, his name was John. I was told that he was a orphan when he came over or possibly that his father had died and came over with his young mother. Does this compliment anyone elses family history?
