Another example of how searching the IGI online by batch number has become contaminated is by the addition of extra information which may or may not have come from the parish register.
An example is the entry for the Christening of John Ratcliff "About Jul 1668 Andreas... Death: 23 Feb 1847". The Batch No. given is C035751 which is Andreas Christenings, Source Call No is 0106704 which is the Andreas parish register film.
There is no IOM will for a John Ratcliff/Radcliff in 1847 [which certainly would be notable at the age of 179], nor one in 1747. There is however a burial for a John Radcliff on 23 Feb.1847 - aged 6 months.
