John fargher and his wife jane (cain) lived at ballakinnag in 1851 and had by then 3 children, catherine jane, john , and thomas, thomas died aged 1. There were more children later as pointed out by brian lawson. Also at ballakinnag (ballakinney) was robert and cath cain presumably jane farghers parents. Not far away at Gat-e-whing was john fargher father of john living with his daughter mary and two illegitimate children.
