I'm not sure if this is of any help to anyone, but my great granfather was born in a little town a few miles outside of Douglas in 1897. His name was Walter Joseph Faragher. He immigrated to Canada around 1913 with his brother John (Jack)Faragher and ended up in Kirkland Lake, Ontario. As a result there are a number a small number of Faraghers in Ontario.
