The record of the Forester Courts established on the Island is rather obscured by the confusion implicit in a very high rate of opening and poorly-informed newspapers. The opening of this Court was reported to be imminent in the announcement of the opening of the Star of Mona Court in The Manx Sun of 15 May 1840."We understand that application has been made for a dispensation to open another Court in the vicinity of the town,and one will, therefore, shortly be opened at the Kirk Braddan Bridge Inn, to be denominated "The Pride of Mona".
