see my page re Rechabites - in 1879 John James Kelly was Chief Ruler noted in his evidence to the commission on medical aid that they have 305 members in the town of Peel. I find on reference to our books that we paid in sick relief, &c., in this year, from the 31st of March, 1877, the sum of £305 7s 3d. We have 468 members in good standing on the books, and there will be more than two-thirds of these resident in Peel, and that the number of members has increased to the extent of 150, and we have nearly doubled our numbers during the last five years.
