I am also of the opinion that as long as everyone (at least, it would appear the majority by far) are happy with this board, then it should be left alone, employing the old adage "if it ain't broke, don't fix it."

As stated by Paul Wade in his response on Friday, December 12 at 8.33 p.m. "........view points of this fantastic board." - the emphasis being placed on the words 'this fantastic board.' There is a wealth of IOM ancestral information on here which many, many people are able to tap into to help with their family researches. And as long as we do have access to this information without any unnecessary complications - then why try to change something which is successful?

The more options, buttons, links etc.... there are on any website can potentially lead to problems and glitches.

I too, find it a small inconvenience that you are unable to view the message you are replying to but as suggested by "JC" it is simple to open another tab when you can then view that message - easy peasy!

I may be incorrect to say that there appears to be a 'hostile bid' to take over this website but suspect I may be right. If someone wants to set up their own website containing virtually identical information, then go ahead but I won't be subscribing, free or not. The people who have been administrating this board have done, and are still doing, a fantastic job and I for one, would like to pay tribute to our 'helpers' who spend their own time (unpaid) sitting in front of their pc's waiting to answer our questions unstintingly - I salute you!
