I have put 2 and 2 together now. George was her lodger in 1861 census aged 45 when she was 43. ( He is down as Goddarn) a master mariner presumably he was away at sea in 1871 as he is not listed with Jane (Godsal) who's sttus is wife. I will try and trace this further. She is down in 61 census as being born in Douglas IOM. What really helpful people you all are regards Lynne
