I found something interesting about my father's family"kennerley".Its seems that there were Kennerley families in Isle of man before any show up in Cheshire. That all kennerley families were Quakers even in the Isle of Man.
The next interesting point is that kennerley surname is another form of Cowley according to some referrances I came accross.
My understanding is that the Isle of Mann was told to change their names from wales to England somewhere back in history. Do not know if this is true or not.
