According to Manx Inns a pub crawl through history by Suzanne Cubbon: It was destoryed by fire in 1896, in June 1897 it was rebuilt and opened by a Alfred Wall a brewer from Ramsey. In 1900 the licence was opposed, it then reverted to a guest house... and lost its licence in 1906. Mr and Mrs H. Cooper bought the house in 1947, and the flat roof of corrrugated iron was complety replaced due to severe damp problems.
